Katrilla Martin and Tom
O'Grady, sight impaired students at University of Mary Washington, receive $1500
financial grants at a recent dinner meeting of the Fredericksburg Host Lions
Club. The competitive grants were provided by the Virginia Lions Eye Institute
Foundation to assist the recipients in purchasing equipment to pursue their
education and advance their ability to achieve an independent and successful
life. Ms Martin was nominated by Lion Frazier Getgood and Mr O'Grady was

The Fredericksburg Host Lions Club recently held a reverse raffle fundraiser at the Fredericksburg Country Club. The winners at the end of the evening were LtoR, Rich Thompson, Graham Green, Jackie Atkins and Bob Sexton. Not shown, Mary Carter Frackleton. Funds generated will provide hearing and sight exams and equipment for the needy in the Fredericksburg community, and other local service programs.
